You have entered the enchanted realm of Misterstourworm and the Kelpie's Gift. A young hero has embarked on a magical quest to free his people from a fearsome and terrible monster, Misterstourworm. He will meet supernatural companions to help him succeed but will he have the strength and courage to triumph?
This is a narrated adventure set against a stunning musical backdrop, bringing classical music to the world of children.
The CD comes packaged in a beautifully illustrated book and comprises both narrated version with orchestra and an orchestral suite without narrative. In addition there are three songs; The Finn Woman, Waiting for the Silver-Sailed Moon and Bullies.
Misterstourworm and the Kelpie's Gift is narrated by Billy Boyd, music by Savourna Stevenson, story by Stuart Paterson and performed by the Orchestra of Scottish Opera. The three songs feature music by Savourna Stevenson, lyrics by Les Barker, performed by Orchestra of Scottish Opera, Edinburgh NYCoS and the RSNO Junior Chorus.
